Baptisms on the Horizon

This week's been awesome! My companion is really really smart! I don't know how he does it all so well! He just shows up at a home and the people want to get baptized. There was an eight year old child who, against reason, had wanted since he was six to get baptized when he was ten. Nobody could convince him otherwise. My companion talked to him for 2 minutes and then set a baptismal date for the 14th of May.

Monday a member called us and scolded us for not visiting a family of three that had seen miracles in their lives. Unfortunately, the paren't's aren't married yet, so they can't get baptized as soon, but the daughter's gonna get baptized june 4th.

Monday the same member told us about three youth and their mom. the mom's a druggie, and the kids want a better life. We had hardly mentioned the word baptism and they already had their baptism planned. We just had to tell them to wait a week or two to prepare them.

Another two are about 40. J*** has kidney stones, like crazy. His wife adores him. It's rather admirable. They agreed to get baptized the 4th of june as well. While we were teaching them, their neighbor called them and asked that they send us over. We taught him (E****) and he agreed to get baptized the same day.

The other elders (who left our area a week and a half ago) left us with one baptismal date half-sure. Elder V**** talked to him for about five minutes, and he said he was sure he wanted to get baptized the 21st of May. It's rather exciting. The members are helping us. We're seeing progress.

My sd cards for my camera are messed up so I haven't been able to retrieve any photos from them. Hopefully I will get a new SD Card soon.

Have a great week!
